that is strange! i wonder too. it reminds me a bit of the old people i've been visiting, some with early or advanced alzheimers. oh, their stories. so pertinent, all.

Yes, that's me. Thanks for your kind words. If you're interested in seeing large versions of the Camino photographs, I'll be showing some during the Kingston Studio Tour in May. Please drop by and say hello if you have the time.

Thanks so much Peter--for sharing and for your art. I was very moved by what you wrote (the quote I mentioned in the blog) and still am. (I am assuming that you are the Peter Coffman I referred to!) Kindness to you.

I am so happy to have happened across your blog - I love the idea of your sending the music out into the Kingston night. As Oliver would say, we need more random acts of violins. I shall be listening for those lovely, familiar melodies on the wind. Thanks for your thoughts and reflections.

Tehmina,

Thanks for your supportive words and sharing this lovely story from your day! Synchronicity, indeed. I wonder if the boy had snowpants waiting for him at home today?... and you? ...

As it was, Kingston received something like thousands of little tiny flakes of what I will call "ice snow" today-- the effect not slick like freezing rain but more like "walking on sugar," how one woman I heard today describe it. The result was something like a hard lump of sugar about 5 to 10 centimetres thick--maybe less a day for snow angels here and more a day for building a shelter or fort out of snow bricks.

Warm wishes,
Tracy

I read your blog after a long time today and it made me smile and shiver with pleasure as usual. This snowy morning as I was waiting at the bus shelter, I saw a little boy who was happily playing in the mountain of snow that had fallen last night, which was continung to fall. I saw the little boy's snowpants, his joyous intent in creating his own version of snow magic and commented to his mother, "I wish I had snow pants and could play in the snow today".
Reading your suggestion about investing in a pair was very synchronistic indeed.
